When we bought our Brighton home in June 2020, it was a renovation project and every room needed updating,’ says Gemma. ‘At the top of our to-do list was transforming the bland kitchen, which had beige units and dark worktops. It didn’t seem to matter how sunny it was outside, the room always felt dark and gloomy. Our idea was to install huge glass back doors and a new, larger window that would allow daylight to filter into the room – as well as fit a brand new kitchen.
