Bright nights

Denver’s Four Mile Historic Park is stepping out of its comfort zone this summer. Through. Handcrafted sculptures lit with thousands of twinkling lights animate the scene, creating a luminous landscape evocative of a traditional Chinese lantern festival. Art exhibit by day, immersive Instagram set by night, it’s the largest installation in the historic landmark park’s 160-year history. Think of it like Glow at the Gardens but bigger and without the potential hard freeze. The display is a collaboration with Tianyu Arts & Culture, a behemoth in the lantern festival world, with a list of successful offspring from Buffalo to Los Angeles. Tianyu’s goal? Making Bright Nights an annual affair at Four Mile. The park, having braved a century and a half of Mile High summers, might just be up for the challenge.
