Broken Crockery
MANY rodders and racers have broken crockery. Most famously, land speed legend Burt Munro called his collection of blown pistons and engine parts ‘Offerings to the Gods of Speed’. Christchurch's Julian Jayet enjoyed a few successful seasons of drag racing back in the seventies and eighties, culminating in winning the Hot Rod Challenge Eliminator at the ‘87 South Island Drag Racing Champs.
