Dog saves mom, son from death

BEVERLY Anne Reddy and her 5-year-old son are lucky to be alive after they were attacked by three pit bulls in Phoenix.

Their family dog, Max, a German shepherd, fought off the dogs, which allowed Reddy and her son, Callen Liam Reddy, to escape.

The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon when Reddy, 47, a nurse from Sastri Park, went to visit her 74-year-old mother.

“My mother lives in Sastri Park, not far from my home, so Callen and I walked to her home. As I opened her driveway gate, her neighbour opened his gate and three pit bulls ran out towards us.
