ust 48 hours prior to the annual Codes Summit at Carriageworks on June 24, influential women from across STEM, business and fashion gathered in the North Building at the Art Gallery of NSW for Codes Visionary Women's Dinner. After guests were seated – among them Summit speakers and other luminaries from previous years Australia's executive editor, Jessica Montague, also greeted the crowd on behalf of , before former NSW premier and managing director of enterprise, business and institutional at Optus, Gladys Berejiklian, took to the stage. During the panel discussion, Leah Balter, chief information officer at Bunnings, associate professor Noushin Nasiri, head of the NanoTech Laboratory at the school of engineering at Macquarie University, and Dr Vanessa Pirotta, wildlife scientist and science communicator, discussed the pivotal role women play in the STEM fields.
