THE FIRST PUBLIC VIEWINGS OF TWO RARE ENGINES IN AUSTRALIA

What follows is adapted from articles in Steam Supreme, the magazine of the Melbourne Steam Traction Engine Club (MSTEC) with kind permission. writes that the MSTEC held their annual rally at their Scoresby Grounds in March which was well attended. In the stationary steam engine museum, a major attraction on this occasion was a newly-arrived Thornycroft steam engine which was on display, it having been acquired following a welcome grant from the National Cultural Heritage Fund.
