Iam up before sunrise. It's still dark and quiet in the camp, but half a block away, traffic stirs on Nelson Mandela Avenue. My morning routine kicks in. I take my Cadac gas stove out of the boot of my Subaru Forester and pour water into a pot. Once the water has boiled, I make coffee in a plunger.
