Fruit Beers

While fruited beers are delicious any time of year, they seem to land better in the warmer months. This might be psychological. When the sights and smells of farmers’ markets appear in a well-poured glass of beer, it scratches a summertime itch.

Much of the bounty that winds up in a beer recipe is fresh picked and processed by the brewers shortly before it’s added to a lager or ale. Fresh fruit is nothing new in beer. Styles that have long been established bring depth to a base beer.

Modern brewers have traversed the globe to find both familiar and exotic flavors to add to their beers.
