City slicker

The sound of a rumbling V8 isn’t one you hear very often in the UK’s capital these days, with the Ultra-Low Emissions Zone (ULEZ) seeing more and more Londoners switch to smaller, more efficient and often electric models. But for Andy Mumford only a classic will do, so it’s lucky for him that vehicles registered as ‘Historic’ with the DVLA are exempt from the charge.

Subtly modified and modernised to cope with today’s traffic conditions, Andy’s B was chosen as a personalised alternative to a professionally converted ‘restomod’. It’s a trend that has boomed in recent years as customers clamour to get their hands on cars with classic looks and modern features, rebuiltbetter suited to modern traffic than the car on which they’re based.
