Urban sketching is a hugely popular worldwide movement that encourages collaboration and the development of individual styles. As urban sketchers observe and draw on location, capturing the landscapes and the surroundings of where they live and travel, sketches are shared online, one drawing at a time.

I am an urban landscape artist and urban sketcher. I’ve always liked to draw urban scenes and love how architecture can tell the story of our surroundings. Spoilt for choice, growing up near central London, the history of the urban landscape has always fascinated me. The hustle and bustle of crowds, the history that runs through the ancient church spires, the majesty of medieval domed roofs, modern shopfronts framed with Victorian architecture and the sleek modern feats of engineering
