Aermacchi Harley-Davidson 350 Sprint

JUST TO EXPLAIN, A FEW MONTHS AGO I saw an advert for a gorgeous 1970 Aermacchi Harley-Davidson 350 Sprint on Facebook Marketplace. It was absolutely my sort of motorcycle. Wildly different, completely original and not too shiny, with a patina to die for.

As I was unexpectedly about to sell my AJS M16 and was handing the Bantam Club its lovely little D7 back after a loan, I had space in the shed. It was a must-have. A very reasonable price was negotiated and it was collected.

Initial images of riding my custom Italian beauty have faded somewhat – as since then the capricious little beast has fought me every step of the way. None of the problems have been major, but the process of resolving them has been a long one. The few actual rides
