THE AIM for Lee McGregor is “to get back to where I was”. Where he was around 20 months ago was on the brink of a sanctioning body eliminator at 118lbs. What followed has led McGregor to call himself “the unluckiest boxer in the world”.

The signs are, his luck has changed. Wasserman have snapped him up on a promotional deal and Channel 5 televise his super-bantamweight 12-rounder against Mexico’s Erik Robles on Saturday night in front of his Edinburgh fans at Meadowbank Sports Centre.
