FORD’S RA Ranger ute has set the midsize 4x4 ute segment on fire since its launch a year ago. A combination of fresh bold design, a choice of engines and class-leading technology has put the new Ranger at the top of many potential ute owners’ shopping lists. As such, we reckon it was a good choice for VW to partner with Ford for the new Amarok if it couldn’t build the case to develop its own second-gen vehicle.
