1 Another amp modeller, then?
It may be better described as a ‘capture player’ – IK Multimedia’s Tonex Pedal has amp and speaker sounds like an amp modeller, but these are sounds that have been captured or profiled, much like in a Kemper product.
2 So, it can capture the sound of your own amp?
Not directly from the pedal, but that process can be carried out with the included Tonex software, and the resulting Tone Models transferred to the pedal.
3 Does it have effects as well?
Tonex solely features amps, speaker cabs and dirt pedals, but you do get an onboard compressor, noise gate and reverb.
