ONASSIS-RMC KNOWS his job. He is an advanced school horse who steps out for a few lessons a week with Thurleigh EC clients. However, it is Thurleigh director Beth Maloney who is on board today, and the pair is being put through their paces by Kim Ratcliffe.
Beth and ‘Jack’ are aiming to qualify for the Masters Du Cheval Iberique (MCI) National Championships at Addington in September, but it has been a busy few months and they are behind with their training, so Beth has signed up for a lateral work refresher session with Kim.
“Jack needs to work on suppleness and exercises that encourage him to stretch and use his back as he's good at avoiding this,” explains Beth prior to their session. “He can also get a bit tense as his hormones build, so work that helps to keep him focused is
