But, perhaps conscious that many players didn’t reach the end of 2020’s – and wary of franchise fatigue – Ubisoft has positioned this direct follow-up as a throwback to the series’ origins, with a 15-20hour story that prioritises stealth over action. Set in ninth-century Baghdad, it even allows you to use a blue-grey visual filter that harks back to the look of the very first.
