NOBEL LAUREATE PUBLISHES NEW DRAMA

China’s first Laureate of the Nobel Prize for Literature, Mo Yan, 68, has published his latest drama, Crocodile.

Divided into four acts and nine scenes, the drama revolves around protagonist Shan Wudan and a crocodile he receives as a gift for his birthday. Shan continuously replaces the aquarium over the following 10 years, giving the reptile more space to grow until it becomes a four-meter-long behemoth.

The renowned Chinese novelist and short story writer is famous for his imaginative and humanistic fiction. He started writing in the 1970s and rose to prominence in the 1980s. In 2012, he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature. The new
