□ Stylecraft Special DK (100% acrylic, 100g/295m), 1 ball of each: Yarn A Saffron (0181) Yarn B Black (1002) Yarn C White (1001) Yarn D Vintage Peach (1836) Yarn E Fondant (1241) Yarn F Turquoise (1068)
□ A pair of 31/4mm needles, plus an extra 31/4mm needle for three-needle cast off
□ A 3½mm crochet hook
□ 200g of toy stuffing
□ 6mm black buttons, 2 per toy (8 buttons in total)
□ Stitch holder
□ A 15cm (6in) embroidery hoop

TENSION
Yarn used knits as 4ply to this tension:
28 sts and 36 rows to measure 10×10cm (4×4in) over st st using 3¼mm needles
MEASUREMENTS
Octopus, Clownfish and Crab 15cm (6in)
Starfish 9cm (3½in)
ABBREVIATIONS
B&T Break and tighten – break off the yarn and thread the end through the st(s) left on the needle. Pull the end of the yarn to tighten the st(s) together
