THE editor recently made some excellent points about the spurious belts and titles that litter our sport. Here are a couple of examples from fights that I've just watched.
Firstly, the Zak Chelli vs Mark Jeffers fight in Manchester on Sky Sports – an excellent domestic super-middleweight matchup, for sure. Yet Jeffers was introduced as the WBO Global champion, whatever that is, and Chelli as the WBA Continental champion.
