SEWING WITH FINE FABRICS

Choosing to sew with fine or sheer fabrics can be daunting. The main thing is to take your time, follow some simple tips and techniques, and you will soon love sewing with them!

1. As with any fabric, pre-treat in the same way you will be treating your garment after it’s made by washing, dry cleaning or steaming. If you are pre-washing, press out the centre seam and staystitch the cut edges first.
