Walking the walk Celebrating organic champions at the OrganicNZ Awards

The OrganicNZ Awards are a wonderful part of Organic Week, where we present eight awards to recognised champions of organics.

More than eighty guests from around the country arrived at The Boatshed on Wellington’s waterfront to honour one another’s efforts in supporting organics in New Zealand – and enjoy themselves doing it!

Dennis Ngawhare, lecturer of Māori Studies at Victoria University, and Laurie Foon, Deputy Mayor of Wellington, opened the evening. The celebration began with the People’s Choice Awards, voted for by nearly 3000 people around New Zealand.
