Having enjoyed your article on bookshops [Issue 1568, 12 June] and noting only one in Wales, I had to write to flag up two exceptional shops in the Marches. The Great Oak bookshop in Llanidloes is a gem not to be missed. It has an eclectic stock of books both new and second hand and survives despite its rural setting. Equally, Aardvark Books in Brampton
