Alex was just 18 when he became an instant teen sensation with his big-screen debut in 1993’s raunchy rom-com, The Heartbreak Kid.
Alex starred as soccer-mad Greek-Australian student Nick Polides, and viewers swooned as they watched him fall in love with his teacher, played by Claudia Karvan. A lead role in the spin-off TVfollowed and Alex became one of our most popular actors.
