A WARMER CLIMATE POISONS THE AIR

Humans have done very well, by some yardsticks. In just a few thousand years, we have conquered the entire world. Sadly we are being literally suffocated by our own success. Earth’s atmosphere has become so toxic that it claims seven million lives annually.

CO2 levels are the highest for millions of years. Big cities are shrouded in smog, and even in the remotest regions of the world there is evidence of soot particles, chemicals and pesticides in what used to be pristine air.

Global warming only makes matters worse. When we burn coal, oil and gas, we start a chain reaction that makes air pollution worse. Already today, 1 in 10 people are affected by air pollution.
