Carrying on THE TRADITION

While meandering through Rhode Island’s seaside hamlets, you often pass by history-steeped 18thand 19th-century structures that induce daydreams about calling one of these storied gems home. Tina St. Pierre, whose ancestors helped settle Rhode Island, has adored period homes for as long as she can remember, an affinity shared by her mother and grandmother.

Tina spent years combing antiques shops gathering prims, but a time-tested dream house always seemed to elude her. Her luck changed in 2013 when she discovered an 1890 farmhouse for sale in North Kingston. Tina and her husband, Bryan, didn’t hesitate to make an offer and soon the 11/2-acre property was theirs. It was there that they raised their daughter, two sons and a rescue dog.
