FAVOURITE BUILDING: Preston England Temple

The Preston England Temple is in the town of Chorley, south of Preston, in Lancashire. It is the 52nd operating temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church).

The temple is a fabulous building to photograph, with its clean lines and constructed with polished granite which reflects the light especially at sunset; the floodlights also help add to the drama.

The biggest challenge when photographing the temple as with most architecture is that when using a wideangle lens, you have to be very mindful of distortion. I always make sure I leave enough room around the building to allow for perspective correction in post-production.
