Triple celebration for Welshpool & Llanfair

ON July 17/18, theWelshpool & Llanfair Light Railway not only marked both 60 years of operating as a heritage line and 120 years since the line was first opened, but also the return of Franco Belge 0-8-0T No. 10 Sir Drefaldwyn after 20 years out of traffic.

Running from Llanfair Caereinion to Welshpool, the 2ft 6in gauge railway once connected to the Cambrian main line, linking farming communities to the market town.
