GLORIA BLACK DESIGN
Northern Appeal
“With this Naples project, I endeavored to achieve classical architectural elements mixed with fresh, clean furnishings and finishes,” says designer Gloria Black. “What we have is a mix of old and new as a way to honor history while enhancing it for today’s lifestyle. As the homeowners are from New England, I wanted them to feel at home, so the new estate embodies classical features that make it feel as if it has been where it is for years.” gloriablack.com

Cottage Chic
“This charming cottage in Jupiter provides a haven of relaxation,” says designer Jacquelyn Armour. “The homeowners are empty-nesters who wanted a home that was clean-lined, bright, and quaint. We delivered with oversized windows and skylights that create an abundance of light, and a portico at the entry, a perfect spot for evening drinks. Inside, the palette is neutral with natural elements, custom millwork, and light wood plank flooring throughout.”

INNERSPACE
A New Beginning
“This St. Petersburg project involved the massive remodeling of the interior and exterior of a 1986 contemporary Florida ranch home,” says designer Karen Gershon. “My vision for this undertaking was to reimagine my personal favorite design style, mid-century modern architecture, on the facade, by using many of the design elements typical to that era. That meant ipe hardwood, terrazzo tile, decorative brick, large black framed windows, accordion doors and a signature gabled roofline.” karengershon.com

Something Special
“With more than an acre of lush, mature landscaping and a prime location on Lake Virginia in Winter Park, we knew this property, nicknamed The Cover Girl, deserved the same wow-factor as its dazzling surroundings,” says designer Zane Williams. “A white stucco exterior allows architectural details to shine, including a raised pyramid roof, oversized windows, and a 30-foot round pool, while the U-shaped structure pushes all eyes to the water. Inside, wide windows are situated to frame exterior beauty. A modern take on indoor/outdoor living, this knockout of a house exemplifies how thoughtful design can further enhance a stunning backdrop.” zpropertiesinc.com

PALADINO RUDD INTERIOR DESIGN
Let it Rain
“Once we designed the modern and organic staircase in this Jupiter house, we knew we needed a spectacular light fixture to complete the large space,” says designer Allison Paladino. “We quickly determined that what we wanted was not available in the marketplace, so I started to design concepts. The final piece, named Rain, is made up of 40 individual wires that hang from the canopy, so you end up with different sizes of handblown glass raindrops at different heights.
