aumier is an interesting stallion heading to stud this season. He won his first start which happened to be in the Blue Diamond Prelude on 22 January 2022. Over the 1000m at Caulfield it was an impressive debut and he went on to run a narrow third in the Prelude two weeks later. As a result, his price for the Blue Diamond drifted and he was to start at $20 when the field lined up for the Group 1 event over 1200m at the same track. Daumier settled behind the leaders and hit the front in the final hundred metres to narrowly win from Revolutionary Miss and an unlucky Jacquinot.
