inna Burra Lodge was founded in 1933 by Romeo Lahey, a local (1949) told the story of the border survey between New South Wales and Queensland. The intention behind the Binna Burra guesthouse was to enable visitors to stay in unspoilt bushland and learn to appreciate Australia’s natural beauty. To this day, Binna Burra is a popular resort in Queensland’s Lamington National Park area. The name comes from the Aboriginal word for the white beech trees that flourish in the area. Binna Burra nestles among the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia (a World Heritage site), 800m above sea level.
