If there’s any hint of concern as to how a young generation of players will handle the pressure of expectation and opportunity that lies ahead for the women’s game, then spending 20 minutes talking to Liana Mikaele-Tu’u would quickly allay any such fears. She’s a World Cup winner and seemingly has the rugby world at her feet, but she’s also simply a 20-year-old who is living her best life as a professional athlete.

That’s not to say any of it has come easy or she’s taking anything for granted, but this dynamic loose forward is for now, enjoying the ride as she gears up
