Gam Roigard has always gone places fast.
Growing up, the Hurricanes halfback raced the speedway circuit, the motorsport gene deeply ingrained in him and brother Stefan by dad Dave, a former Waikato champion and three-decade fixture on New Zealand’s speedway scene. These days it’s the swiftness of his pass and sniping runs from the base of the ruck which have caught the eye, rocketing Roigard into conversations about the role he might play for the All Blacks in a World Cup year.
