Focus on Turquoise
Turquoise Yachts threw open its doors in April to show off its two Turkish shipyards in Kocaeli (metal construction) and in Pendik (outfitting). The waterfront locations allow transferring in-build projects in just 24 hours by barge.
The Pendik site (on the Asian side of the Bosphorus) is home to the design, engineering, production, and sales department Currendy, the shipyard has seven in-build sail and motor yacht projects from a 138-footer (a yacht started at Perini Navi) to a custom 285-footer, which upon completion will be the largest yacht built in Turkey. Known as Project Vento, it features a design by H2. H2 founder Jonny Horsfield, who has worked with Turquoise on 10 projects, including 253ft Go, calls Vento “Go Plus.”
