Thanks, neighbour!

Sitting down in the campus cafe to catch my breath, I gulped my sixth coffee of the day.

I’m still exhausted, I thought.

I was dehydrated and my heart was racing, making me anxious.

But I was busier than I’d ever been in February 2019.

In my first year at University of Sussex studying medical neuroscience, I was also part of the campus musical theatre performance of Legally Blonde, rehearsing 15 hours a week.

Recently, I’d had tonsillitis, night sweats.

Found loads of mysterious bruises on my body.

But I explained it all away by blaming my busy schedule, all the caffeine and bumping into stage props.
