New mooring adventure

Let’s rewind the story about 30 months. In 2021, we started our search for our first yacht. After looking at a few, we found and then purchased Sauvage – a four-cabin, 10-berth, two-head (most important!) 50-foot Jeanneau Sunkiss sailing yacht built in 1989. Berthed at Gulf Harbour Marina, we chose to initially keep her there while we gained our sailing feet.

We took advantage of the easy access to the boat to start and complete several transformational jobs, including installing our water maker, solar panels, fridge, heads, replacement teak, and leaking window. Sometimes we’d simply came and sat on at the marina, just to take time out from everyday life. Along the way, we acquainted ourselves with our neighbouring sailors and the ever-patient
