You kicked off your career with Platense in Argentina, but made just two appearances before joining Dundee in 2001. How did the move to Scotland materialise?

In most cases, you play well in your country first and then you may get spotted by a club in Europe. Dundee had an Italian manager, Ivano Bonetti, who worked with some agents from Argentina. I sent them my CV – don’t forget, there was no YouTube or anything like that – and it found its way to Bonetti. They were looking to sign a young goalkeeper and gave me an opportunity.
