In most cases, you play well in your country first and then you may get spotted by a club in Europe. Dundee had an Italian manager, Ivano Bonetti, who worked with some agents from Argentina. I sent them my CV – don’t forget, there was no YouTube or anything like that – and it found its way to Bonetti. They were looking to sign a young goalkeeper and gave me an opportunity.
