The acquisition of two e-bikes recently changed our means of two-wheeled progress from pensionista power to battery power; it has proved to be both a blessing and a curse. The blessing is that we have been able to resume our cycling exploits in the scenery without getting totally wiped out by the experience, and bring mountains of booze, food, and fags back from the shops without having to move the camper.

The curse has been the expense and the complications of carrying them and trying to find a way to keep the batteries charged whilst exploring the places we want to go. Which are quite often nowhere near electric hook-up.
