I like to think that I’m quite a diligent person and always like to do every job to the best of my ability. So, when a customer rang me up and explained that the scooter I’d just sorted on the dyno only a few days before was now ‘not performing,’ during its first run out, it’s safe to say that I was a little worried. I recall after the dyno runs were complete that I’d made some recommendations to the customer, like altering the squish gap and changing the carb rubber etc, but nothing that would affect the dyno settings. With this chap being a considerable drive away from our garage, I tried to diagnose the potential issue via the phone, but in the end, after working through multiple options, decided that he would simply have to bring the scooter back for a free recheck.
