30 YEARS AGO – JULY 1993

We love the cover photo on this issue of the mag; it depicts one of our favourite tracks in the Victorian High Country, the narrow ridgeline of Billy Goat Bluff, surely one of the highlights for four-wheelers in Australia. Such an iconic photo and area was appropriate for this issue as we checked out what we thought were the top five areas to visit in Australia. Of course, that included the Alps of Victoria and NSW, Fraser Island and Cape York in Queensland, the Kimberley in WA, and the Simpson Desert in SA and the NT. All five places would get a guernsey if we did the same exposé today.
