Photojournalist Le Roux van Schalkwyk was born and raised in Windhoek. He studied viticulture at Stellenbosch University, but after a few years in the wine industry he switched to pursuing photography full-time. He works for Venture Media in Windhoek and often visits some of the most scenic places in Namibia, like the Ugab Terrace – read his story on page 112.
