TENNIS PLAYERS WIN FRENCH OPEN DOUBLES TITLE

Wang Xinyu and Hsieh Su-wei won the women’s doubles final at the French Open in Paris, France, on June 11, defeating the No.10 seed pair of Taylor Townsend of the U.S. and Leylah Fernandez of Canada.

Wang, 22, grew up in an athletic family in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. Wang Peng, her father, a former coach of Team China, began teaching her how to play tennis when she was 6, after which she gradually transitioned to professional training. In 2018, she began playing professionally.
