Q: I bought a used Accel Digital Fuel Injection 6.0 ECU and harness on eBay that I’m planning to use on a 350 with Tuned Port Injection. I found that you wrote the book on that system, but it looks like the book is out of print, and I can’t find one to buy. I do have the CalMap software on compact disc. I only paid $150 for the setup; do you think I should use it?

A: You are correct — I wrote that book about 20 years ago and it is now only available as an ebook.

However, I would have to say, you should not waste any money on an old Accel 6.0 system at this point. It was an excellent system in its day; time has moved on, and so has aftermarket programmable EFI. To program the DFI 6.0 system you have, you would need a 30-year-old 286 laptop to work with the
