ARCHITECTURE

The difference between a photography competition and an architectural commission is that the photographer gets to freely interpret architecture in a creative space without the constraint of a brief. Successful entries demonstrated strong composition and poetic interpretation as well as sound technical skills. – Dianna Snape

Architecture is already an artwork in itself, but to find a different angle or detail within the artwork that captures a different artwork is a challenge. – Erik Johansson

ART

I was pleased to see a lot of experimentation in this year’s Art submissions. With composite images be careful that the technique does not overshadow the composition and the viewer’s depth of interaction with the image. – Samantha Everton
