Best accessories for digitising film

Many AP readers will have built up a large archive of film photographs. Even if you weren’t shooting film back in the day, the analogue revival is still going strong – despite the rising cost of film, a lot of younger photographers are still really into this old-school approach. Likewise, purists who resent or worry about the increasing use of AI in image-editing programs may find themselves turning more to film as it offers more of an ‘authentic’ experience. This said, many film photography fans still want to digitise their negatives and slides, either to give the images an extra tweak in editing-software, or just to make them easier to share on social media or websites.
