This album is all premiere recordings, but this piece, in a live performance with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, wasn’t intended for an album at all. I was invited to play it at the Vale of Glamorgan Festival in Hoddinott Hall andfestivals, so I knew the piece well. It just so happened to be that it went extremely well and was able to go on disc unedited, which was really lucky.
