Nissan’s fourth generation X-Trail, a product of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance, now shares drivetrains and platform architecture with Mitsubishi’s Outlander.
All variants are powered by an updated, carryover 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, with 135kW of power and 244Nm of torque, matched with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). Drive goes to the front or all wheels, depending upon model grade.
The X-Trail range opens with the ST, at $36,750. ST-L is $43,190. All-wheel drive, plus two extra rear
