The society came about in 2018 from a merger of The Wharfedale Family History Group (formed in 1980) and the Keighley Family History Society (formed in 1985). Having been close neighbours for many years, coming together seemed a natural and timely progression. Would we have survived the pandemic alone? We hope so, but we are now certainly stronger
