SHE felt so nervous she could hardly speak. It was her first time at an audition and she had no idea what was expected. What she did know was that she had only one shot to impress – if she blew it, her dreams of being The Little Mermaid would dissolve.
Then Halle Bailey was given a choice: sing first or act first?
It was a no-brainer for the songbird.
“Singing is my comfort zone,” Halle says. “I remember I closed my eyes and belted out my heart.”
