TV LESSONS IN CHEMISTRY
The book was a bestseller, and with Brie Larson not only starring in but executive producing the screen adaption, we predict Lessons in Chemistry will be a hit when it premieres later this year. Set in the 1950s, the Captain Marvel actress plays Elizabeth Zott, a scientist thwarted by the patriarchy who becomes the unlikely star of a TV cooking show. When she realises she can reach an audience of housewives and a few men, she sets out to share more than just recipes. (Starts streaming Fri., Oct. 13 on Apple TV+)

And while the story would take her into dark territory, Mulvany says the production team made the shoot one of the most enjoyable sets the veteran actress has been on. “It was really, really fun, and warm and generous,” she smiles.
