The Walking Dead: Dead City

SERIES PREMIERE 9/8c, AMC

A postapocalyptic Manhattan “covered in zombies,” per Lauren Cohan, is the setting for this franchise spinoff centering on her Maggie and Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Negan. A few years have elapsed since the’s series finale, and the unlikely duo have their work cut out for them in a world of anarchy and danger: “She’s searching for her son [Hershel] and needs Negan’s help on this mission,” says Cohan (right). “He’s somebody she never thought she’d have to see again, let alone deal with all the emotions he brings up.” Before his (sort of) redemption, Negan infamously murdered her husband, Glenn (Steven Yeun)—but look out, has an even bigger bad called the Croat (Željko Ivanek).
